What are the ingredients for a successful team?   The girls of this year’s U-19C team had it all!  - Talent, teamwork, good coaching, commitment and love of the game.  When the season started in April we knew we had a special group of girls with a team that included 8 returning members from the U-19C teams which qualified for the provincial tournaments in 2013 and 2014.

As the season progressed the “Thunder girls” got stronger; placing 2nd in the district standings, winning gold at the Strawberry Vale tournament and gold as the top team in the districts qualifying the “Thunder Girls” to represent Rotary Park in the provincial championship tournament played in West Kelowna July 2nd – 5th.

During the provincial tournament the “Thunder girls” persevered through 38 degree temperatures and brought back the silver medal.  The girls on this team have been part of Rotary Park’s “Field of Dreams” for a good part of their playing careers and a very special thank you to our parents and everyone at Rotary for their support.

Congratulations Ladies!
Peninsula is Proud of You!
